SARSAnywhere can be accessed via the following link: https://sars.shastacollege.edu/SARSAnywhere/Login.aspx You will type in only your username into the login screen (i.e. sknights) and not your entire email address Your password is the same as what you use to log into the Portal and computer workstation.

Unable to access Ed Plans via the SARS Quick Link
I have a new computer and now I can't Access Ed Plans via the SARS Quick Link like I used to. The I drive Ed Plans are being phased out and all new Ed Plans should be created within the Colleague Self Service Ed Planning tool. If you need to access old Ed Plans you can do so by launching the SARS Ed Plan tool and following the instructions on the attached PDF document.

How do I install/set my receipt printer in SARS?
Open SARS Anywhere and select the Settings (little cog icon) in the top right area of the screen. **please note: Chrome is blocking the download of the print installer, we suggest to open SARS in Firefox to download and install the print controller** From the Miscellaneous tab Click Install Print Controller. An installation dialog screen will be displayed Click Install. When the installation is complete, a Login screen will be displayed. If the log in screen isn't displayed, double click the SARS print controller icon in the system tray (little printer icon) The pop up window will ask you to login to the Print Controller, you need to copy the SARS URL from Miscellaneous tab. This field is directly below the "install print controller" button, you can click the little icon next to the field and it will copy it to your clipboard for pasting into the login areas "SARS Anywhere URL field". Click Login. This will place a printer icon in your system tray on the bottom of your screen. Right click on the printer icon in the system tray and choose "Location Configuration" from the options shown. In the pop up panel, select the ADD button, select your SARS location from the drop down menu, then select the printer you will be using from the Printer drop down menu. Click the Enabled checkbox to activate this Print Controller for printing confirmations. Select the SAVE button when you are done. In the SARS Anywhere Miscellaneous tab, deselect the "do not print" box if it is selected, select the paper type from the Confirmation Printing drop down menu and select OK.

How to install SARS Anywhere desktop chat
SARS-Anywhere is a web based application and works best using the Desktop Chat that is installed. Follow the instructions below to install the desktop chat. Open and login to SARS Anywhere, click the settings icon in the top right area of the screen. and select the SARS-Chat tab. BEFORE clicking on the install button, copy the SARS URL in the field to your clipboard by clicking the copy icon next to the field. (TIP: the URL is located directly under the checkbox text Use Desktop Chat, and the copy icon is directly next to the field containing the URL. See Image Below) Now you can click the Install Desktop Chat to download and install the desktop chat application. An installation dialog screen will be displayed. Click Install. When the installation is complete, a Login screen will be displayed. To login to Desktop Chat, paste the previously copied URL into the SARS Anywhere URL field. Click Go. If you are already logged into SARS Anywhere you should not have to type in your username and password. (The Database, Username and Password fields will have been populated automatically.) Otherwise, type in your SARS username and password and click Login. This will place a Desktop Chat icon in your system tray on the bottom of your screen. When done with the installation process, go back to the SARS•Chat Configuration screen and check Using Desktop Chat to have all chat messages directed to the desktop chat program rather than the embedded chat application in SARS Anywhere. This will allow chat notifications, even if the user is not logged in to SARS Anywhere. The lightning bolt on the SARS Anywhere tool bar will be disabled and a small PC icon will be placed instead. Access to desktop chat will be via a lightning bolt on the system tray at the bottom of the screen. Click OK to exit the configuration screen.

When the menu box appears be sure and select the TIME RANGE option: ALL TIME. Then select the CLEAR DATA button. After it is complete, close your browser and reopen it.

How do I send a text message in SARS to a student I met with?
You must have a shortname and have access to MYGRID to use this feature! To use the text message to booked/showed appointment feature, you must first add the texting option to your MyGrid selected columns. Keep in mind that text messages can only be sent the way I describe here from the MY GRID tab, you cannot send them via The Grid tab. Open SARSAnywhere Open the Configuration options (small cog in top right next to the ?) Select the My GRID Columns tab Drag and drop the Send Text Message option from the right side to the left side. Click Ok on the screen and it is ready to use! How to Send Text Message to a Student with a Booked/Showed Appointment from (MY GRID) If the student has a text phone number in the system, the status icon in the Send Text column of MY GRID will be displayed. From MY GRID, click on the time slot containing the student appointment. Be sure the focus is on that slot. Click on the text icon TXT in the Send Text column – far right of the appointment information. A message screen will appear, [Recommended] Click the checkbox adjacent to Append from name. This will add your name in the text message so the recipient will know who it is from. Click in the Message textbox and proceed to type your message. The number of characters that have been typed will be displayed in the Approximate Characters box. Keep your message short as it may be split into multiple messages and confuse the recipient if they are jumbled upon receipt. Click Send. A message will be displayed stating that the message was sent successfully.
