Unable to add schedule to the master schedule in SARS
I went into the master schedule to add a new one for the upcoming term and it would not save it nor would the normal "options" drop down appear. If a user chooses to have a tab for Master schedule in their main grid view, they would need to use the Quick Links menu to get to the Options and “Add to the Grid” item. Alternatively if someone does not have the tab added to their main view, they would access the “Master Schedules” from the “Quick Links” menu and there would be a drop down menu at the bottom of that window with the “Add to the grid” command. See attached for examples of the two options described above.

Quick Day Change in SARS Anywhere
From THE GRID or MY GRID, navigate to the desired date. Click anywhere within the column that contains the time slot(s) to be modified. Be sure that the focus is in the correct column. Failure to do so may result in the action being taken for the incorrect time slot. Click the Quick Day Change Tab, or select it from the Quick Links drop down menu - the Quick Day Change will appear, image shown below. Review the list of Schedule Codes in the right-hand panel; then click on the Schedule Code that will represent the new code for that time slot. Click on the existing Schedule Code to be overridden. The replacement code will appear in the time slot. Notes A scheduled appointment must be cancelled or moved before it can be replaced by another Schedule Code. If the replacement code is longer than the standard time slot, the extra time slots linked to the activity will be inserted as well. The replacement code will not be inserted if the total space needed for the extended activity is unavailable because of a pre-existing booked appointment or insufficient time remains at the end of the day. If the length of the replacement activity is shorter than the length of the existing activity, the replacement code will be inserted only in the cell that is clicked (and any subsequent time slot(s), if the replacement code is longer than the standard time slot). The remaining time slots will revert to the Default Master Schedule Code. To record comments about the activity, follow the steps below: a. Position the cursor with the focus anywhere on the line in the Comments column. b. Right-click to enable the space for typing. c. Type the specific information about the activity in the space provided, which will allow up to 255 characters. d. When done, press Enter. To duplicate both the Schedule Code and the comments in other cells, hold the mouse button down and drag the cursor down into each adjacent cell to receive the code (a rectangle shape will be displayed during the dragging process). When the mouse button is released, the code and any comments will be placed into all of the receiving cells. In lieu of the lasso action, the user may also simply click on one cell after another, as needed. Two methods are available to correct an error before exiting the Quick Day Change screen, as follows: a. To override an incorrect Schedule Code, click on the desired Schedule Code and then click on the cell to be edited. b. To restore an entire column to the values it had before using Quick Day Change, click Undo. 9. Then press Save.

SARS Error Message: "Student ID is not valid"
If you are attempting to make an appointment for a student and a pop up appears like the one below, this typically means that it is a newly applied student and the students application is not fully processed inside of Colleague. Open Colleague Open NAE and type in the student ID number, check the origin date on the screen, if it is today or within the past day or so, see if the students other areas are complete yet. Open SACP and enter the student ID number, if you receive a screen similar to the one below, the students application is not fully complete. A program/major must be on file in order for the student to be able to pull into SARS for an appointment. Open RGPE and type in the student ID number and the area for Academic Program will be blank. Contact A&R to check on the status of the completion of this application.

SARS Error Message: "No Student Found"
When opening Student History or Notepad inside of SARS and typing in a student ID number, you receive the message on screen: No Student Found. This happens when the student does not have any history yet because they have never been entered into an appointment or made one online via eSARS. Until they are opened up in an "appointment" screen window, they technically don't exist yet in the SARS system. You don't have to actually schedule the appointment, you just need to pull them up into the appointment screen for it to initialize their SARS account. Below I opened an appointment screen on any open slot, remember it doesn't matter because you will not be saving/committing this appointment. Enter the student ID number and it will populate the student information. This record has a lot of info redacted for security reasons. Once it opens, click CLOSE and discard the appointment. You will now be able to open Student History and Notepad on the student and review and/or add information as you need to.
